Yes, you can use for sealing the bridge "refresh" the whole play. You should consider using a sealer based oil, like linseed oil. You can pressure wash, but not necessary sanding. You'll need to coat twice a year if you use a conservative-based wax. If you decide to use the treatment with oil it will avoid the appearance of hair. However, it is not brilliant. The color is the choice you make when you want to change the color. Appearance natural (no dye) will have the best quality oil and will highlight the grain in the wood. Coloring covers, but there are bright spots and stains semi-transparent which also cover the wood but without pigment. This produces a situation where it would be difficult for oil to soak into the wood.
