I get a tummy tuck and also work on my leg to smooth scars in just 2 days. What is recovery time?
I Meeting surgery in 2 days for a tummy tuck and smoothing scars on his leg due to an accident. Because the family, business and social factors, I need an approximate recovery time. I read what it means, already paid for it, my surgeon is the best and I had multiple surgeries in the past so I'm sure I'll be fine. But I must ask to be on crutches for a week Working while having the stomach is both. Any advice?
I had a tummy tuck and hip liposuction done in July. It took me a few 2 solid weeks to return to "fundamentally normal" and from what I heard, that was fast enough. Most people take more like 3 weeks. This is partly because you have these "temporary drains" you put in to help remove the fluid access, and they are not very comfortable. They will probably be in about a week (until your drainage amounts are below a certain level.) Once they are removed, you are able to move better, which contributes to the recovery. However, it seems that you have some sort of surgery on your legs, too, so that may slow your Tummy Tuck recovery time. One of the best things I did during my recovery was "stand up and moving "The Very Next Morning. Your body needs to learn to adapt to this new situation, and the sooner it does, the faster you recover. But if you're on crutches for leg surgery … to be able to recover from tummy tuck may be slowed down. So to answer your question … I would say you need 3 weeks for your situation. The first week on crutches and with drains will be a little uncomfortable. Once the pipeline sewer are extended, moving as much as possible, especially since you've been basically sedentary for a week. In the third week you should be very good. Hope that helps. Best wishes on your surgery. I had a wonderful experience and I am extremely happy with my results. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about tummy tuck!
